Like wildfire, rumors are easy to spread… and hard to extinguish.
Flat broke and down on her luck, Emerson Hastings is handed the perfect opportunity, Executive assistant to the head of Creative Marketing at Dixon & Sons. It’s a chance to prove herself, move up with the company and land her dream job in media advertising. What Emerson doesn’t know is that her boss should come with a warning label. He’s hot headed, demanding and sexy as sin.
When long days turn into late nights with her boss, rumors about Ryder and Emerson begin to spread. By the time they circle back to her, they’re difficult to ignore, making her attraction to her boss hard to deny. Everyone has an opinion and no one cares if the rumors are true. No one except Emerson.
This book sounds like a great read! How can I follow you so I’ll know when it releases?
His suit jacket is neatly folded over his arm, leaving him in only a white, button-down dress shirt with the sleeves rolled almost to his elbows. The shirt is either too small or he’s that defined because I can see the outline of his chest through the fabric as it stretches in an attempt to accommodate him.
I wondered if he would be a mix of his older brothers and now I don’t have to guess. He’s a happy medium, only sexier. Dangerously sexy. One look at him and my pulse is racing, my palms beginning to sweat. No wonder Ian didn’t want me working for him.
Shit. I’m ogling my boss, noticeably, and I have a boyfriend. It’s not like I’m going to act on the sexual desires that are building as he walks closer to me, a sly grin on his face, causing a small dimple to appear on his left cheek.
Can’t act on those needs.
That would be wrong.
For so many reasons.
Now I know I have to read this one. When do you think it will release?
March 22, 2018
Who are your favorite authors?
There are a ton of amazing authors out there that inspire me to be true to myself and work hard every day. To name a few… Rachel Van Dyken, Molly McAdams, and Alessandra Torre. Each of these amazing women has written books that I cherish as well as take the time to share their knowledge and success with those of us still looking to make our mark.
What are some books you’ve read recently?
It’s crunch time for me right now with a deadline looming next week, so I haven’t been reading much lately BUT there are three books that I’m impatiently waiting to be released, and they all come out in January. I’ll be taking a writing hiatus to read all three of them back to back to back. I think my number one right now is Infraction by Rachel Van Dyken.
Did you do any special research for this book?
For every book I’ve written, I’ve had to research some aspect of it. For this series, all the main characters work at an advertising agency – it’s an office romance. I made sure I knew the structure of the business and what tasks each person would be responsible for.
Any chance of a sequel?
This is a six book series of stand-alone novels. All six are being released in a six month period.
What are you writing right now?
I’m currently working on book 3 of the Rumors series, halfway through it and then jumping into book 4.
What do you want to show us?
This is what it looks like BEFORE I get started each day. By the time I call it quits, there is generally a pile of candy wrappers and a few coffee mugs sitting around.
Do you outline before writing or are you a pantser?
For this series, I did a very rough outline. I knew where I wanted each book to start and end and how one would lead into the next. Aside from that, I’ve pantsed it so far.
What is your favorite quote or line from your book?
Sucking in a deep breath, I look up to find Ryder staring down at me. He’s in need of a haircut. A few strands are loosely hanging in front of his eyes, but that doesn’t take away the beauty in them, or the lust I see.
